Overview

The school advertises the date for registration a few months before the commencement of the session, through different media, mainly the newspaper, hoardings, bill boards etc. The admission for play group, Nursery and KG is open throughout the Academic session.

Registration

The Registration form and Prospectus are available from the school office on all working days between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on payment of Rs.700/- They may also be procured by post on depositing prospectus charges plus postage i.e.Rs.750/-

Test and Interview

After registration the child is given the time, date and venue for appearing for a written test in English, Mathematics, Science and Second Language based on class-wise syllabus given by the school. The names of successful students are displayed on the school notice board.

Admission

Admissions must be completed within ten days of declaration of results. The following documents need to be submitted along with the Registration Form.

  • Passport Size Colour Photograph (1 pc) and Family Photograph Post card size ( father, mother and the child )
  • Birth Certificate ( Xerox and Original )
  • Immunization Card i.e. Vaccination Card (Xerox and Original)
  • For Admissions in Class 1 onwards :

  • Result ( Xerox and Original )
  • Original Transfer Certificate(compulsary) all these documents may be submitted within two months from the commencement of the Admission session or on the date of Admission, whichever falls later. Please note that the child will not be allowed to appear for the terminal examinations if any documents is due.
  • Parents may contact the Admission Department for admission in the current session to check availability of seats.

  • Admission Policies

    Admission to the school is open to all students between the ages of 2-1/2 to 16 years and in strictly selective based on the admission test and previous school results.

    A student should complete the age indicated below against the class, preferably by the commencement of the academic year. New admissions are not taken in classes 10 and 12.

  • After a child is selected, his/her admission is not confirmed until the fees and documents have been submitted within the stipulated time.
  • If a child does not join the school within the stipulated time after admission has been confirmed, full school fees for the year will be charged.
  • The Principal reserves the right to accept or reject any application for admission without assigning any reason.
  • Admission to St. Jude's High School is a privilege and not a right.
  • Recommendation for admission from any source will disqualify a prospective candidate, Parents are therefore, advised to approach the Principal's office for admission and not through any other person or persons.
  • Scholarship

    Educational Scholarship is given to all students irrespective of caste, creed or religion if they secure more than 92% aggregate from Classes V to VII in the seven elective subjects, 90% from Classes VIII to X and 86% in Classes XI and XII.

    However, the family income must be less than Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only) annually.

    CONCESSION AND SCHOLARSHIP FORMS ARE AVAILABLE WITH THE OFFICE SECRETARY THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE SESSION STARTS.

    A form submitted with false information is or without proper documents as stated in the requirements will not be entertained. Forms once rejected, will not be entertained again for another three years.

    The Management reserves the right to reject/accept any scholarship form. The decision of the Management in such matters is final.

    Concession

  • A limited number of concessions are given every year by the School Managing Committee to deserving needy students. Guardians who wish to apply for concessions must submit their application for concession at least 45 days before the new session starts. To avail of the school concession, one needs to meet the following criteria:
  • Family income must be below Rs. 7500/- per month.
  • result aggregate on elective 7 subjects from classes V to VIII must be 60% and from Class IX to XII must be 55%

  • Guardians in business of any sort are not eligible.
  • Salary certificate from nongovernmental or multinational companies must be countersigned by a gazetted officer.
